My take on the role of 'Louise' was influenced mainly through dance. I used my history in dance to show the elegance the character possessed and the innocence the audience sought from her. The Ballet scene was a 12 minute dance sequence involving ballet, partnership, modern jazz and a solo. The Sequence was choreographed by myself and the directors. It was rehearsed within two weeks and danced in front of almost 3,000 people each evening of the show. Although Louise was not an extremely dominant character she was important.
'Manor Operatics Society' presented their version of 'Carousel' 11 to 14 May 2011. Almost 3,000 people attended each night in the Irwin Mitchell Oval Hall, Sheffield City Hall.
